Nepal is indeed a paradise for birds with over 800 species recorded representing 10% of the world’s population in just a tiny fraction of the earth’s land mass. Just to list a few: 8 species of stork, 6 species of pheasant, 17 species of cuckoo, 3 species of crow and cormorants, egrets, black ibis, eagles, falcons, ducks, partridges, cranes, lapwings pigeons, bengal green pigeons, doves, parakeets, cuckoos, owls, vultures, peafowls, red jungle fowls, swallows, black drongos, blue jay, wood peckers, black-headed shrike, common myna, red-vented bulbul, paradise flycatcher, brahminy duck, house sparrow, red mania, and hawks. The opportunity to see these and other birds will make your trip a memorable and enjoyable one. These trips also provide panoramic mountain views, glimpses of wild animals and exposure to the culture and traditions of the local people.

Itinerary: 6/7 days Kathmandu- Koshi tappu
Birdwatching in NepalDay 01 :
Upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport, welcome by ourrepresentative & transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 :
Sightseeing of Kathmandu city, Swayambhu nath, Museum and Patan city.
Day 03 :
Fly to Biratnagar and drive to Koshi Toppu After arrival in the lodge, briefing about the program by the Bird Watcher Guide. Lunch bird walk in the marshland outside the reserve to see the storks, ibises, snipes, waterfowl and birds of prey. Evening: slide show followed by Nepali Dinner.
Day 04:
Full Day Bird Watching After breakfast, full day excursion on boat and drive with packed lunch to see wanders, waterfowl, bird of prey, marsh crocodile, otters, wild water buffalo and the Gangetic Dolphins including a visit to Pink Tower.
Day 05:
Bird Watching and Departure to Kathmandu In the morning, bird watching around the camp After breakfast drive to Biratnagar and flight to Kathmandu. Overnight Hotel
Day 06:
Sightseeing of Pahupatinath, Bouddhanath and Bhaktapur City. Evening: Nepali Dinner with Cultural Show
Day 07:
After Breakfast –Departure Transfer to the Airport

Chitwan Day 01:
Day 02:
Sightseeing of Kathmandu City, Swoyambhunath and Patan city
Day 03:
Bird watching Phulchowki with Botanical Gardens in Godavari Early morning drive to Phulchowki for full day bird and butterfly watching in (2759m), and visit Godavari Botanical Gardens with lunch packets.
Day 04: Drive Kathmandu- Chitwan
Drive to Chitwan, about 5-hrs,via Nag Dhunga pass (1800m) you pass through banks the of the Trisuli river, the beautiful valleys, and arrival in the Lodge. Welcome & briefing by the naturalist. After Lunch, either canoe or elephant ride.
Day 05:
Full day bird watching in Chitwan National park Whole day jungle activities in Chitwan including jungle walk, elephant ride, canon ride, village visit and explore the jungle on foot and jeeps for birds viewing, butterfly watching. In the evening enjoy a cultural dance performed by local villagers.
Day 06: Drive Chitwan-Kathmandu
Early in the morning, after/tea coffee; set for the Jungle walk & bird watching. After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu. The drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu takes about 6 hours and the drive passes through the beautiful valleys, bank of the river and arrives in Kathmandu via Nag Dhunga pass(1800m).
Day 07:
Sightseeing of Pasupatinath, Bouddhanath and Bhaktapur, evening Nepali dinner with culture show.
Day 08:
After Breakfast –Departure Transfer to the Airport
